Chicken Burger The New Yorker
The iconic, generous burger!
Seeded brioche bun, crispy panko-crusted chicken fillet, melted cheddar cheese, crispy bacon and gourmet sauces.
Ingredients (for one burger):
- 1 seeded brioche bun
- 1 Japanese Style® panko-crusted chicken fillet
- 1 slice of cheddar cheese
- 2 slices of Crispy Bacon Philea®
- A few salad leaves
- Red onion rings
- 1 tablespoon barbecue sauce
- 1 tablespoon homemade burger sauce
- Homemade sweet potato fries served with cheddar sauce and Crispy Bacon Philea®
Homemade burger sauce:
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon ketchup
- ½ teaspoon mustard
- ½ teaspoon honey
- ¼ teaspoon sweet paprika
- 1 small pinch of garlic powder (optional)
- 1 to 2 small gherkins, finely chopped
- Salt and pepper
Mix all the ingredients together until you have a smooth sauce.
Preparation:
1. Cook the chicken and bacon
- Oven: 220°C for 20-25 minutes.
- Deep fryer: 180°C for 5-6 minutes.
- Cook the bacon in a frying pan.
2. Assembling the burger
- Lightly toast the bread.
- Arrange the salad, Japanese Style® panko-crusted chicken fillet, cheddar, Crispy Bacon Philea® and red onion.
- Add the sauces and close the burger.
Chef's tip:
Serve with a giant pickle for that New York street food effect.
