French Tacos Crousti Chicken: The 100% comfort food snack
Fall in love with the French Tacos with crispy chicken!
Grilled tortilla topped with extra-crunchy Country Style® chicken fillet, Crispy Bacon Philea®, chips and a homemade, ultra-creamy cheese sauce. All toasted to perfection. A flavour explosion to be enjoyed hot.
Ingredients (for one taco):
- 1 large wheat tortilla
- 1 Country Style® extra-crunchy chicken fillet
- 2 slices of Crispy Bacon Philea®
- 1 small portion of crispy chips
- 3 tablespoons of homemade cheese sauce
- Salt, pepper
Homemade cheese sauce:
- 100 ml single cream
- 50 g grated cheddar cheese
- Salt, pepper, pinch of paprika
Heat over a low heat until the cheese has melted completely.
Preparation:
1. Firing the elements
- Country Style® extra-crunchy chicken fillet: oven (220°C / 20-25 mins) or deep fryer (180°C / 5-7 mins)
- Chips: golden brown
- Crispy Bacon Philea® slices: fry in a pan until crispy
2. Assembling the taco
- Lightly heat the tortilla to make it pliable.
- Place the cheese sauce in the centre, add the chips, slices of Crispy Bacon Philea® and pieces of extra-crunchy Country Style® chicken fillet.
- Fold the sides in, then the bottom and top.
- Toast in a grill or hot pan until the tortilla is golden brown.
Chef's tip:
Add caramelised onions or replace the plain chicken fillet with our extra-crunchy Black Pepper Country Style® chicken fillet for an even more intense flavour!
